Despre Informatie:
Hello, Mariana. I would like to ask for your help.
My great grandfather Alexander (Sender) Risman was born in 1818 in Lipcane and founded Volodeni probably in the 1850s. He was known as “Sender Volodener”. My grandmother Hanna Sara was born there around 1871 and my father Alexander Meilichson was born there in 1907, just after Sender died in 1906. Three residents of Volodeni registered in 1906 to vote for the Duma: My great grandfather Risman Sender Meerov, Stroesko Vasily Vasilev (also registered in 1907) and Khelmitskiy Ivan Alexandrov (also registered in 1907).
I know most descendants of Sender, but we have no idea of brothers or other relatives, or how are they related to other Risman families in Lipcane. Sender’s father was Meir clearly, and Sender’s mother was Bekerman but I don’t know her first name. Do you think that there are archive records in Volodeni that can deepen my family knowledge? Can you put me in contact with somebody that might be accessible to data?
I have not visited Moldova yet but hope to do it in the near future. Besides Edinet, Lipcane and Volodeni, my family roots connect me to Briceni, Riscani and Otaci. My relative Alexander Meilihzon (from Riscani, born 1900) was Professor of Mathematics in Bieltsy, just like me in Tel Aviv, and like Ioan Bejeranu in California...
My family moved to Edinet after WW1 when Romania confiscated Volodeni. My father emigrated to Argentina in 1929, then to Chile, from where we moved to Israel in the early sixties.
Thanks for your help.
Greetings, Isaac
